Hi everyone! Today I'm going to be talking about a Syberia I, a 2002 adventure game. The game was released on January 9th, 2002 and was created by B. Sokal and Microïds. This game is the first of three games in the series. I can't exactly remember how I found this game. I believe that we originally discovered this game on Amazon as my Mom, twin Daniella, and I were always looking for fun new games to play. So let's get started!
Syberia: Automaton Music Box |
“Kate Walker, a young ambitious lawyer from New York, is handed what seems a fairly straight forward assignment - a quick stopover to handle the sale of an old automaton factory hidden in the alpine valleys, then straight back home to the US. Little did she imagine when embarking on this task that her life would be turned upside down. On her expedition across Europe, travelling from Western Europe to the far reaches of Eastern Russia, she encounters a host of incredible characters and locations in her attempt to track down Hans, the genius inventor - the final key to unlock the secret of Syberia.
Syberia: Automaton Office |
The puzzles in the game were so much fun to try and solve. Each puzzle involved an Automaton that helped progress the story to show what an Automaton could do. Each puzzle was fairly simple to solve, though throughout the story they did become a little more tricky with each new one that Kate faced.
Syberia: Automaton Workshop |
The graphics for the were probably some fo the most realistic for a game at that time. When the game was first made back in 2002, the graphics in the game were so beautiful and realistic. This had to be my favorite point and click adventure game because of this. I felt that the designers did an amazing job each of the locations in this game and I had such a fun time exploring it.
Thank you for reading everyone. So have you played Syberia I, and if so what did you think about it? I would love to know down in the comments bellow. If you want to get Syberia I you can get it over on Steam and GOG.
Until next time,
