Nancy Drew The Creature of Kapu Cave Review

As the summer comes to an end, I still want to hold on to the idea of a nice warm summer that’s not 100+ degrees Fahrenheit and the best way for me to do that is by playing Nancy Drew Creature of Kapu Cave.  This game was released in October 2006 and this game was the second game that get to not only see the Hardy Boys but get to play as both of them as well!  So let's get started!

The Creature of Kapu Cave: Dr. Quigley Kim's Camp
"Team up with the Hardy Boys® and Track an Ancient Legend Through Hawaii!

You, as Nancy Drew, go to Hawaii to serve as a research assistant to Dr. Quigley Kim. A devastating scourge is destroying the pineapple crop causing residents to whisper that a local research compound has awoken the legendary Kane ‘Okala. Upon arriving, Nancy discovers the camp ravaged and Dr. Kim missing. Coincidentally, the Hardy Boys are also on the Island to complete a top-secret mission, but it’s up to Nancy to uncover this intricate web of mysteries in Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave!”

The Creature of Kapu Cave: The Hilihili Lab
This game was one of the first Nancy Drew games I have ever played which is why it’s close to being number one in my book.  This is probably the closet thing I will ever get to Hawaii and Her Interactive did a great job making this game as it gave me a little piece of what Hawaii is.

The Creature of Kapu Cave: Trail Bridge

You get to play as Nancy and both of the Hardy Boys!  Which for any Nancy Drew fan would be a dream come true.  The graphic in the game are really great I love how the made the water move making it look so real for the graphics at that time.  I just love how some these locations like the Trail Bridge on your way to Quigley's location.  I just over found it so pretty and calming.

The Creature of Kapu Cave: Beech

My favorite part of the game is to just turn go to the beach in game and leave it on  in the background, listening to the ocean.  I did this quite a few times while I did other activities and it was so peaceful.  While at the breach, you can also go a collect shells to make little necklaces and go finishing, which is fun when you don’t want to continue the storyline of the game.  Because of this I was able to make all the necklace designs in the game, which takes some time since you ahem to wait for the shells to load in again.

Thank you for reading!  So have you played Nancy Drew The Creature of Kapu Cave, and if you have, what is your favorite thing about the game?  I would love to know down in the comments below.

Until next time,
