I've now finished the newest and latest Nancy Drew game! I loved playing this game so much. Nancy Drew Sea of Darkness is the 32nd game in the Nancy Drew series and was released on May 19th, 2015. I was super excited to play this game and when I finally got my hands on my copy I couldn't stop playing it. So let's get started!
The celebrated ship “Heerlijkheid,” is usually the centerpiece of an Icelandic town’s local festival. Now that its captain has disappeared, the renovated vessel has become an eerie distraction. Did Captain Magnus sail away with a legendary treasure, or was he carried off into the night? Take the helm as detective Nancy Drew and set a course for the Sea of Darkness!"
This game is now in my top 10 favorite games form Nancy Drew. I loved the graphics in the game. The water looked so real that I thought that I was really staring at the ocean. The Northern Lights and the falling snow really made the game feel so magical in a way. I truly felt that I was in Iceland, but in the comfort of your own home.
There were a few times in the game where I did cheat, but I swear it was only once! I tried not to cheat, but I had to cheat, I could not figure out how to label the ship sails. The rest of the puzzles were fairly easy for me to figure out, with a few guesses in between on what to do.
The storyline in the game was very well written, all the characters had been intertwined together so it made it difficult to guess who the culprit was, I spent a whole 24-hours on whom the culprit could be. I was able to guess the right person halfway through the game, but it took until one in the morning to finally decide on someone. If you think I’m going to tell you what I guessed, then you are sadly mistake. I do not want to be the one who ruins the game for everyone.

When you finally reach the end of the game, Her Interactive gives you a chance on affecting how the game ends. Though the end result is still the same, you ultimately have the choice of how the criminal is punished! Just like in Shadow at the Waters Edge. I really like how you get to choose the kind of ending you get in the game as you ultimately get the chance to decide the criminals fate.
Thank you for reading everyone. I would also like to say thank you to the many people at Her Interactive who created this wonderful game and the many more to come. I do however; I have one thing I would like Her Interactive to produce, and that is a Hardy Boys game series. I would love for this to happen in the future! So what do you think of Sea of Darkness? I would love to know down in the comments below.
