Nancy Drew The White Wolf of Icicle Creek Review

The sun is going down earlier and earlier, the temperatures are dropping, and you know what that means.  It's finally autumn in Arizona, or what other people call winter this time of year!  Ok ok, I know my 80 F degree wether is not what everyone experiences during November or even December but when it reaches this temperature it means that I can finally make some hot cocoa and play one of my favorite winter Nancy Drew games, The White Wolf of Icicle Creek!  This game was released by Her Interactive on June 7th, 2007.  So let's get started!
White Wolf of Icicle Creek: Lodge

Game Description
"Follow a Trail to Hidden Secrets and Sabotage! Nancy Drew travels to the Canadian Rockies to investigate the Icicle Creek Lodge. Chantal, the owner of the lodge has asked her to uncover the culprit behind a recent string of suspicious accidents. A wolf also appears at the site of accidents and then mysteriously disappears when the police arrive. As Nancy makes her way to the lodge, an explosion rocks the night. A wolf howls mournfully in the distance. Nancy has barely set foot on the premises and already trouble is afoot! Can Nancy solve this mystery before all the guests leave and Chantal is left out in the cold?"

Storyline
When it comes to the storylines in this game, you definitely are focusing on more than one case here.  First you are being brought in to investigate the accidents that have been happening at the lodge.  Next you get to focus on one of the biggest accidents in the game with the bunk house exploding!  Third, you get to investigate why someone would be targeting one guest with death threats, and finally fourth  you get to investigate the history of the lodge and why someone would want to sabotage it!  With this I absolute love how each of these storyline in the game intertwined with each other and create a full picture of what's going on at the lodge.

White Wolf of Icicle Creek: Breakfast Chores

Puzzles
Out of all the Nancy Drew game, ICE has to have one of the most puzzles in a single game!  It doesn't matter that someone these puzzles are surrounded by a endless supply of chores.  I actually enjoyed cooking in the games, I think thats why this game was so long as well since you do spend a ton of time in the kitchen or cleaning rooms.  I found many of the puzzles super enjoyable.  However, I know that I still dread it when I have to play fox and geese, which is probably one of the more annoying puzzles to solve.

White Wolf of Icicle Creek: Lodge Guest Sitting Room

World/Graphics
I absolutely love all the locations in this game.  There was just so much to explore within the lodge, the lake, Trapper Dan's Needle, the mysterious cabin, and more!  There were just so many tiny details in this game that you could look at such as the animal heads in the lodge, the small museum dedicated to the history of the lodge and the surrounding area.  This definitely made the game more enjoyable with these little details.

Music/Soundtrack
I absolutely love the music in this game!  It just has a super nice a cozy atmosphere to them.  The music for the most part is just super calming and I absolutely love listening to it.  Though there is some suspenseful music, its absolutely perfect to listen to when working on homework or some other project!

Thank you everyone for reading!  I absolutely love this game as it is one of my favorite games to play during the winter time.  If you want to see more of my Nancy Drew related posts, check out all my Nancy Drew posts!  Also check out my other Game Reviews for new recommendations of games that I have played.
