Hey everyone. If you have not heard, Her Interactive is moving to a different game platform. They will be using Unity, which many of the newer games are using. On September 11, they released the video about how the games looks will change.
When I saw the changes that were made I literally screamed with excitement. It looked so cool. I will, however, miss the old platform, but I can’t wait for the new Nancy Drew game to be released. Since this style of programming for the game is new, it will take a long time for the new games to be released. The letter on the Her Interactive states, “However, this move will affect our development schedule resulting in a delay in the release of our next game, Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem. At this time, we can’t confirm an exact launch date, but we hope it will launch sometime in 2016.” When I heard this, I was very sad. This was well before I knew how big the changes were going to be. Now I’m saying, take all the time you need. I took a screen shot of the video to show since the difference and I have to say it still looks so cool, and so real.
