My Top 15 Nancy Drew Video Games

A few weeks back, Her Interactive shared The Gamers 15 Best Nancy Drew Games.  With this list, I felt that it was lacking in some of the best games that Her Interactive has released and I thought, "Why don't I share my own top 15 Nancy Drew games?"  So for todays post I will be sharing my top 15 games from 1 - 33!  So let's get started!

1:  Secret of the Old Clock
When I think of my top 15 list, Secret of the Old Clock is always at the top of my list.  This game was released for the 75th anniversary for Nancy Drew and it was considered the last game in the series before Her Interactive was funded to create more games!  This game is based off the first 4 books in the classic mystery series and it makes the game super interesting and fun to play.

2:  Treasure in the Royal Tower
When the summer sun is high in the sky and its reaching up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, going on a ski vacation in a castle sounds like heaven!  Also who wouldn't want to learn about a little history and explore a castle.  Again this game is one of my favorite and I love exploring the castle halls and I aways seems to learn something new with this game and I missed before.

3:  The White Wolf of Icicle Creek
Icicle Creek has to be one of the longest Nancy Drew games I have ever played and that's why I had to mention it on this list.  The puzzles are not only interesting but I find that they are some of the most entertaining to solve.  That and I like that they brought back the short order cook challenge.

4:  Warnings at Waverly Academy
If your out of school and really want to get back into a learning environment, then you must attend Waverly Academy!  This all girls prep high school is full of gossip, lies, mystery, and a black cat?  I love sneaking around the hall at night and finding new interesting gossip on students at Waverly.  That, and I also really enjoy being the snack shop boss.  Which if you want you can play the demo for Warnings at Waverly Academy Snack Shop Mini Game for free over on Her Interactive.

5: Last Train to Bluemoon Canyon
I love the idea of Nancy solving a mystery aboard a train, not only that, but a supposedly haunted train!  I recently just play the game and I love jumping from cabin to cabin and looking for the Jake Hurley's lost treasure!  Also who doesn't love the Hardy Boys!

6:  Shadow at the Waters Edge
This has to be the spookiest ND game that Her Interactive has ever released.  Well in my opinion.  This games give you such a great way to travel to Japan from the comfort of your own home and after playing this game, it really made me want to travel to Japan so I could experience the come of the traditional aspect of the country.

7:  Danger By Design
I've always wanted to travel to Paris and this game gave me a glimpse of the beautiful city and have the chance to work for a "famous" clothing designer!  I've always had a soft spot for this game since there are so many tasks and puzzles to solve.

8:  The Phantom of Venice
Theres nothing better than going to Italy and exploring all the sights, sceneries, and hunting down dangerous criminals in the Italians version of the FBI!  I love that Nancy was able to become a spy in this game and that there was so much to do.  I especially love playing a game of Scopa when time permits.

9:  Danger on Deception Island
I've really wanted to go back into Danger on Deception Island.  I loved being able to kayak around in the water, make sandwiches on Katies boat, and eat blueberry muffins and clam chowder from The Hot Kettle Cafe while exploring this small fictitious Washington port side town!

10:  The Creature of Kapu Cave
I would be surprised if this game wasn't on the list as Kapu Cave was my very first Nancy Drew game that I played.  This game was what also got me into the series and for that I am very grateful.  I just love walking up and down the beach, listening to the waves, collection sea shells to make necklaces, and fishing just to buy all the souvenirs and have Nancy and the Hardy Boys eat all Hawaiian shaved ice!

11:  Alibi in Ashes
This game was the first game located in Nancy's hometown and you not only got to play as Nancy, but you were also able to play as Bess, George, and Ned to help prove Nancy's innocence when it comes to the town hall fire.  I really enjoyed exploring Nancy's home town and how River Heights influence Nancy as she grew up.

12:  Tomb of the Lost Queen
Tomb of the Lost Queen has to have one of the most interesting locations compared to every other game.  Being able to explore an Egyptian tomb and discover secrets that have been buried for centuries!  This game is a must play for this fact alone and there was so much to learn and explore the game.

13:  Curse of Blackmoor Manor
I love playing Blackmoor Manor and I just love exploring all the hidden passageways.  I aways remember getting lost in these passageways when I first started to play the game and now cant wait to go back in the tunnels and pull a few pranks on Nigel.  Just don't let Ethel catch you, or else you might have to face Mrs. Drake.

14:  Message In A Haunted Mansion
Looking to travel to San Fransisco then Message in a Haunted Mansion should definitely be the next game on your list.  I just recently played this game and it was so much fun!  The game is simple and fun as you go though and snoop though everything in the mansion and learn all its secrets.  I find that when I play this game I always try and find all the ghost sightings that I possibly can.

15:  Secrets Can Kill Remastered
Now I couldn't leave SCKR off this lists of my top 15 games.  The remastered version of the game really brings this original classic back to life and it is definitely a must play for any Nancy Drew fan.  The game is not only based on the Nancy Drew books but is and updated version of the original game that was released 1998!

Thank you everyone for reading!  I had so much fun reminiscing about my favorite games and I will admit that it was hard to choose which game to put in my top 15.  Also, if you looking for something fun to do, you can also play all of Her Interactive Free Mini-Games that they have available.  You can also get your own copy of the games listed so you can enjoy the mystery for yourself.
