Agatha Christie The ABC Murders Game Review

It's the our final day of my love of murder mysteries this month and the last game that I will be reviewing is one of the newest Agatha Christie games, Agatha Christie The ABC Murders! This game was released on February 4th, 2016 by Microids.  I was super excited to play this game since it was the newest Agatha Christie game to be released.  So let's get started!

The ABC Murders:  The First Letter

The ABC Murders is an adventure and investigation game adapted from the classic Agatha Christie novel. The player embodies the famous Hercule Poirot in a 3rd person perspective adventure game packed with mysteries. Your intelligence will never have been so challenged!

You will have to explore many crime scenes in various cities set in beautiful surroundings across the United Kingdom. Leave no stone unturned when it comes to cross examinations and deadly puzzles!Observe, question and explore everything possible in order to make the smartest deductions and understand the murderer’s plans!

The ABC Murders: Crime Scene For Murder A

Graphics/World
I loved the graphics of the game.  In a way, the world and characters had a comic book style design that differentiated it form being too realistic yet fun and entertaining.  Each location was designed very well and all I wanted to do was explore each locations to its fullest extent.  Though I know I probably missed a few things here and there.  I still enjoy exploring each of the locations, including Poirot's home where he probably solved so many cases.

The ABC Murders:  The Suspects

Storyline
I loved the storyline!  Each murder and case seemed to just flow together and each piece of the puzzle just seemed to click.  There were a few times in the storyline that I got a little lost as to what to do.  This especially made it difficult when the game glitched and wouldn't let me move on.  Though this created obstacles, overall it didn't affect the game play too much other than having to save the game and restart it.

The ABC Murders:  Clock Puzzle

Puzzles
When it comes to the puzzles everything is fairly easy as long as you look closely at everything.  Each puzzle whether you're talking to a character and acting just as Poirot would, looking and interacting in your environment, and piecing together each crime scene.  There were only a few time were I got stumped and that was when I was speaking to the characters.  I wanted to do what Poirot would have done but sometimes it stumped me.  During the game you would receive points of doing exactly what Poirot would have done and out of 600 points I missed quite a few of them.

Thank you everyone for reading!  I really enjoyed playing this game and I really hope the Microids make another Agatha Christie game in the future.  So have you played Agatha Christie The ABC Murders?  If so, I would love to know in the comments.  If you haven't yet, check out my other Agatha Christie Game Reviews.  If you want to get the game for yourself then you can get it on Steam, Playstation, and Xbox One.  You can also get a copy over on Amazon.

And this concludes my love for murder mysteries from Agatha Christie theme February!  I hope everyone enjoyed my little experiment for this month.  I would love to know what you think my themed game reviews this month and if I should plan another for the future.

Until next time,
