My Flourishing Retrospect Overview 2019

Well its come to an end.  My Flourishing Retrospect 2019 journey has been a blast this year with so many opportunities and games that I've played over the year.  So for todays post I think I'm going to do just a little over view of 2019.  This will be the last post before the end of 2019, but never fear!  I will be back in January 2020 to start off the new year with a bang! So let's get started!

Favorite Video Games Of the Decade

It's not only the end of the year, but its also the end of the decade and I can't believe time has flown by so fast. 2010 honestly feels like yesterday to me and I just can't believe so much time has gone by. However, over the last 10 years, the gaming industry has released so many games that have truly affected my life during this 10-year period.

So for today's second to last post of the year, I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite games that I've played over the last 10 years. It doesn't matter if the game was released during the last ten years or 20 years ago, I'm choosing to focus on the games that I began playing during this time. I'm choosing to list this in alphabetical order so that it makes it just a little bit easier for me to keep track. So let's get started!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thank you all for joining me this year on my Blogmas 2019 journey!  After last year I didn’t think that I would be doing Blogmas again for a little while but I’m so happy that I did.  To those of you that have been reaching, sharing, and commenting on my posts this Blogmas, thank you!  You’ve made my Blogmas more cheerful than you can imagine.  I have been bless by being surrounded with the best community I think I could ever have.  I consider all of you that read my post friends and I would not be where I’m at in my blogging without you supporting me.

For today I think I’m just going to relax, spend time with my family and celebrate Christmas the one way I know best.  Which is giving gifts, baking treats, playing games, and just relaxing with a fun game.

It finally happened!  We finally got to see the official trailer for Midnight In Salem!  On November 30th, Her Interactive released the official trailer for the game and there were 800+ people watching the live reveal of the game.  I was one of those who was watching and chatting in the live chat and it was so much fun talking with everyone.  Today I have a special guest, Daniella from The Little Book Spy and we’re both going to go over what we thought of the trailer.  So let’s get started!

December Goals 2019

Looks like we only have month month left before we say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020.  I remember thinking about reaching this year many years ago and thinking thats such a long time from now.  I think this was back in 2007, 2008, or somewhere before 2010.  Man time has gone by fast.  With that I think that I need to look over my goals that I put into plan last month and plan off my year with a bang or achieving goals.  So to start of Blogmas right I think im going to share my goals for the month.  So let's get started!

Woven The Game Review

For this weeks review, I’m reviewing the newest release game called Woven!  A cute game about a woollen creature named Stuffy and his Metal Firefly friend Glitch.  The game was released on November 15th, 2019.  I want to thank Dan over at PR Hound for giving me this amazing opportunity by providing me with a Steam Key of the game and helping me answer my questions about the game by sending them over to Matthijs Framer over at Alterego Game.  So let’s get started!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Mysterious 11th Character

If you were one of the lucky few that attended Seattle’s Geek Girl Con 2019, then you most likely were able to see some official game play of the latest Nancy Drew game, Midnight In Salem! This is exciting news, however they not only showed off the game, but also revealed a mysterious 11th character in the game! This is the first time this character has ever been mentioned and I believe that has everyone, including myself, is shocked. So let’s get started!

Zork The Grand Inquisitor Review

Zork, one of the oldest games I think I have ever played.  However, the original Zork was not the first Zork game that I have ever played.  My first Zork game was Zork The Grand Inquisitor.   My Mom had the original CD copy of the game and I can still remember playing this game for the first time.  It was during the time when I finished playing The Creature of Kapu Cave.  For today's post, I’m going to be writing my review on Zork The Grand Inquisitor!  So let's get started.

I can't believe it!  We finally have the game cover for Midnight In Salem!  Ahhh!  Ok back to being professional... Over on Her Interactive's Twitch page for their Halloween Stream, they released the cover art for Midnight In Salem in addition to another character 3D image as well!  They did this during the intermission as well as at the end of the stream.  I'm so excited to sharing this. Its getting close to Halloween and you know what that means!  It means spooky game marathons for all us video game lovers.  I did one of these last year and I had such a fun time playing all those scary games.  This year, I though I would share a few scary games that you could play for this Halloween.  So let's get started!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Lauren Holt

I’m so excited.  On October 25th, Her Interactive released another image this week and this week instead of a location they decided to tease us with a character image!  We are only 38 days away from Midnight In Salems Official released date on December 3rd 2019.  We also got a little bit more information about how Midnight In Salem came to be, or should I say based upon.  Now, enough chit chat, let get to this new information!

I’m going to say this in the nicest way possible….but Lauren looks like a Sims 4 sim that has to much broken CC content that causes her hair to look slightly distorted, the odd white lighting shadow by her eyes, and what looks like she’s wearing purple eye contacts?  This photo looks like it was taken in the very early pre-stages of development when they first starred to design her in Unity.  Hopefully these little glitches or problems are fixed before final game.  I bet once we see her final render she will be beautiful!  But for now, there’s room for improvement on these bugs.

When it comes to where she’s located, it looks like she behind the counter at her apothecary and tea shop.  Just the little bit we can see is really making me curious on what the rest of the store looks like.  So other than a few glitches here and there everything looks like its coming together and I can’t wait for the final product.

Midnight In Salem Based On

Now over on the Her Interactive Youtube Channel, Jai shared that Midnight In Salem is based a little bit on the Nancy Drew book, The Witch Tree Symbol.  Now, I haven’t read the book yet but I’m really curious about how much of the book is mixed into the game.  I’ve read other books in the series where the games were based on and there were quite a few elements taken from the story and put into the book.

Thank you everyone for read!  The days are getting closer to finally getting the game finally getting released.  There are still plenty of physical copies PC copies of the game left if you want to get your hand on a physical edition of the game here.  Sadly, if you get the physical edition you will not receive it until after December 3rd and its PC only.  However, if you want to get a digital PC only or Mac only edition you will get it on December 3rd.  If you want to get both PC and Mac digital editions of the game then you can wait until the game is available on Steam.  So what do you think of Lauren Holt and have you read The Witch Symbol?  I would love to know down in the comment down below.

Nancy Drew Games For Beginners

Whenever I talk about Nancy Drew games to others, I've always been asked, which games they should play first.  Over the years, I have suggested so many games for people to play and with each suggestion, my answer always changes.  However, I always seem to suggest the same set of games every single time.  For todays post, I’m going to be sharing a few of my top picks of Nancy Drew games for beginners.  For this list I tried to focus on some of the more easier games first as they increasing get more difficult.  So let get started!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Carriage House & Exciting News

It official! Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem is now on Pre-Order and we are now on track for the game being released on December 3rd.  I’m super excited for this and I’ve already purchased my physical copy of the game, however it will take a bit of time for me to review the game since it will take a week to get my official physical copy.  However hopefully when the game goes on Steam I will be able to play it then.

Well for today’s post we’re not going to just focus on the fact that we can pre-order.  No, today’s post is focusing on the latest image that was released.  On October 18th, Her released the Carriage House.  Also if you get the newsletter from Her Interactive we also got some extra goodies!  So let get started!

As we get closer to the end of 2019, new games are being set to be released soon and I honestly can’t keep count of how many of them I want to play right now.  So, with that, I put together a list of the games that I want to play that are coming out either this year, next year, or possibly in the future.  I also wanted to focus on games that I’m super interested in as well.  So let's get started!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Official Music Video

When I didn’t think Her Interactive could surprise me anymore.  I think I should start saying expect the unexpected with them now with all the different releases and teaser they’ve been releasing to us.  On October 11th, they decided to release an official music video for Midnight In Salem’s Main Theme!  I was lucky enough to get to watch it live with everyone in the Youtube chat.  There was quite a few things teased in the video so we have a tone to go over!  So let get started.

If you didn't think that the information that was released on Tuesday was enough, then it probably surprised you that we got even more on Friday.  On October 4th, Her Interactive released two more images and they show a ton of new pieces of information as well as some new information that a Reddit User shared.  Normally I try to focus on hard core facts when it comes to Nancy Drew games since I can’t say for 100% certainty that rumors are true.  However, I think it's interesting enough for me to share here.  So let's get started shall we!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Cemetery & System Requirements

There are only 4 more days until Pre-Orders for Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem and I’m so excited for this pre-order!  I’m basically set my alarm to that I can buy my copy of the game the minute it goes live!  That and I am physically require to get up early for class, but that’s not the point of this post.  The whole point of this post to to go over the new images that Her Interactive released on September 27, the final set of images before the game goes to pre-order.

Over on my Twitter page, I decided to re-guess what images we would be seeing on Friday.  My guess was of course the same as last week.  I believed we were going to see Olivia Ravencroft and her shop, however, I was completely wrong again, which I’m ok with since we get to finally see an early render for the Cemetery!  We first saw the concept are for this as it was one of early images released this year.

Arizona In Autumn

Autumn as officially started and for the first time ever, Arizona is joining them early with temperatures under 100 degrees Fahrenheit!  Its been so long since Arizona has been cooling off before December and this year I’m hoping to make the most of it!  For todays post I thought I would share with everyone a few Autumn activities that I plan on doing this year, if I haven’t done them already.  I’m really hoping to do all of these activities before the end of the season.

It should be no surprise now that another teaser was posted by Her Interactive.  After all, the last two post I’ve written about now have been surprise not only to me but to my blog since its kind of thrown off my blogging schedule since I haven’t had enough time to write my post for each set of images.  Today, I’m fully prepared by not only writing a small part of this post a week in advance, but I’m already 100% ready for the next update of images to grace our lovely screen as we stare at them in awe.

Old Video Games I Loved To Play Part 1

 While I was trying to plan out blog posts, I was wondering what kind of posts I could write for my blog.  The first thing I thought of was pulling out some of my old favorite games from when I was younger and making a list of some of my favorite ones to play.  Sadly all of these game are no longer being made as many of the companies basically left the games to die, only leaving them as distance memory.  However, I will revive them so that they will always be remembered for me at least.

Her Interactive did it again this week by releasing two more images for the game!  To be honest, I didn’t think that they were going to be releasing anything this week and were going to keep up with posting game teasers every two weeks.  However, it seems that I’m wrong and they're going to be posting possibly two new images, per week, every Friday!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem: Courthouse & Judge Danforth

A week after teasing the last two images of the Hathorne House and Alicia Cole we get another set of images showing up more of the game.  To be completely honest I wasn’t expecting this to happen and I was completely unprepared, however, after a few hours of fan grilling about these images I’m back and ready to show them two you and share what I think of these images.

It happened again this week!  On Friday, August 30th, Her Interactive release 2 new images for Midnight In Salem.  I’ve been preparing for these new little bit and pieces of information about the game all week.  These are the second set of images released over the last two weeks teasing the up and coming game Midnight In Salem, before the game goes on preorder starting on October 1st, 2019.  With all these new images being release, its making me super excited to play the game!   As before I though I would share with everyone what I think of these exited images! So let's get started!

Nancy Drew: Midnight In Salem Parry House

It finally happening!  We're getting our first look at what Her Interactive has been working on for Midnight In Salem.  On Friday, August 16 at 4 pm PST, Her Interactive posted the first set of images of the Parry House!  This will be the home for Mei and Teegan and it will probably give us a little bit of a background into the game about who these two characters are.  These are the first two images that have been released for the game using Unity.  So let's look at those pictures!

Nancy Drew Midnight In Salem Characters Updated

When you think you have the whole case figured out and solved, a new piece of the puzzle, or should I say new characters, make you look at the case in a whole new light.  If you haven’t been keeping track of the latest news for Midnight In Salem, the team decided to rebrand the characters in the game by not only giving them a new design, but a new name and a completely different character bio!  After looking over my original post, I felt that this post need a rewrite.

When I wrote my first post, I decided to go into it and just update some of the pictures and information with images of the characters.  Well, right before I did that, many of the characters received such a huge overhaul that I wanted to leave that post alone and start over by writing a new post.  With this new information, I thought that it would be a great idea to review everyone again.  So let's look at our new suspects!

Is The Zork Remake Legal?

On the 5th of July, I wrote a review about the demo release of Zork 1 Remake.  A game that is basically a 3D version of the original classic 1980 game created by Activision.  Now Zork is getting a indie remake.  I did not put this in my original post, but I started thinking about the original copyright of the game, and I was wondering about how it would affect the publishing of the game.  Well in today's post I'm kind of going to go over a bit of what it would take to get not only this game published but the legal aspect of the game and what could happen if the game gets copyrighted.
