Monthly Wrap Up: May 2021

This last month has basically been chaos with all the has been happening.  First I get two weeks off where I can do basically anything that I want and then I get to foster some feral kittens that were found in my backyard.  I was still trying to solve the mystery of why I couldn't put my blog link in my Instagram bio, and then my college classes started which means trying to complete what would normally be two 16-week classes in 6-weeks.  So you could say that I've been super busy.  But then thats what planning in advance helps and its also another reason why my post for this week is early!  So shall we get started!

The Trials of Instagram...
So to start this all of I wanted to explain some stuff that happened over on Instagram.  Back in March I share my first ND themed photo and it did super well.  What also happened was that for some strange reason Instagram began blocking specific actions on my account (Like/Commenting).  In early April I was able to gain the like/comment feature back at the expense of removing my blog link.  From April up until May 10th, I was unable to have my blog in my bio and I could not understand why this problem was happening since Instagram wasn't helpful and the only thing I could see was a Try Again Later error.

To combat this I though it was time to create a new account and place my link in my new bio.  But it was still getting the same error.  At this moment it finally clicked that it wasn't my account that was the issue but the whole blog link!  I chose to test out a private blog link that I don't use for anything other than testing and guess what it worked!  So I was then faced with the knowledge that Instagram blocked my blog for no reason.  So to get around this I opted to get a LinkTree account to get around this stupid ban.  Thankfully it worked and I'm now able link my blog in my bio!

With this little change in link I also decided I'm going to change how I post on Instagram as well!  I'm going to focus on creating a more aesthetically pleasing page without cluttering it with blog posts.  So I've been on an archiving spree so that my feed will be more pleasing to look at as well as making what few post I had on their to be more game related.

Monthly Games:
This month I wasn't able to play too many games or at least spend a ton of time in them.  I was able to play Assassin's Creed Valhalla some more this month and so far I've completed 60% of the storyline so far!  I normally take forever to play these games but somehow I managed to get though 60% in less than a year which is pretty surprising for me.

I was also able to jump back into some Dead By Daylight.  Its been quite a long time since I've play the game so it was definitely a learning curve with all the changed but so everything was super smooth and it was so much fun, even though I screamed quite a few times from jump scares.

Also with all the updates happening in Garden Paws, I new I had to go back to my wonderful and cute world of animals.  Everything looks fantastic in the game especially with my game finally being able to have grass appear!  In earlier version of the game I wasn't able to see the standing grass on my Mac computer, but with the optimizations done for the game it allowed me to finally have the grass show up on my map.

This months Nancy Drew Battle Challenge, the game that was picked was The Phantom of Venice!  I absolutely love this game and I've really been wanting to take some fun Instagram photos for this game but first I need to find me a box of chocolates and my masks...  So expect  some photos for this game soon!

This month I was also able to play some more of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened.  This game is reaching creepy levels close to Sherlock Holmes Versus Jack the Ripper.  Honestly it's close to surpassing Jack the Ripper since both game were pretty dark, but due to the nature of Jack the Ripper game, both games are still tied in their levels of both being super creepy.

*Announcement*
Last month I was also given the amazing opportunity to play Of Bird and Cage by the creators of the game All in! Games  which was released!  Right now I’m working on my review for the game and I cannot wait to share it with everyone.  However it might take me some time before I can share my review due to have 6 week college classes but the goal is to make time, which means its getting closer to me finishing my review!  So expect my review to so live in the coming weeks (hopefully before the end of June).

Thank you everyone for reading!  I really hope that these next three weeks of classes don't bombard me with too much homework and that I can still post regularly.  At the moment I have post schedule out until June 4th since that what I was able to get done before my classes started.  So you get two posts this week instead of just one!

As much as I love writing review in advance, I only have so many before I need to write more since time just loves to move so darn fast.  But don't worry, I've managed to create some free time so the reviews will keep coming... hopefully!  Now all thats left to do is finish up some of the big behind the scene projects I've been working on (basically life) and let the games begin!

Until next time,
